Organic Farming Funding Opportunities

The IAF 30 has announced two different funding opportunities for 2026.

 

Climate Agri-Solutions Fund

The Climate Agri-Solution Fund helps with cost-shared funding for outreach, education, and training the learn practices that can store carbon and reduce greenhouse gases. This program is available to farmers in BC and the Yukon to support the adoption of beneficial management practices such as nitrogen management, cover cropping, and rotational grazing. 

Eligible farms can apply for up to 85% of the eligible costs through CAF funding with funding maxing out at $100,000.

The submission window for application opens May 21, 2026 and remains open until all funding is gone.

Traceability Adoption Program

The Traceability Adoption Program offers cost-sharing for the purchase and installation of traceability systems, practices, technologies or infrastructures to help businesses meet regulatory requirements for the traceability of food, animals, and seafood products. 

The Traceability Adoption Program is funded by the Governments of Canada and British Columbia through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership and is delivered by IAF.

There are two streams to this program - Stream 1 is for private businesses and Stream 2 is for sector organizations. The amount of financial assistance varies by stream. 

Applications open May 12, 2026 and Submissions open June 2. Applications close once funding is fully committed. Projects must be completed within 3 months of receiving funds.
