October 3, 2025

9am - 3pm

On October 3rd, head to Rafter P Ranch in Merritt for a hands-on day of learning, connection, and practical insights into regenerative ranching and soil health.

This field day will highlight no-till seeding, multi-species cover cropping, bale grazing techniques, and fencing for rotational grazing—all practical tools to improve yields, reduce weeds, build healthier soils, and strengthen livestock management.

The hosts, ranchers Nelson & Danielle Patry, will be on hand to discuss their first-hand experience with these tools and techniques including the challenges they have faced and the benefits they have experienced.

Also, hear from:

  • Regional Agrologist Emma Holmes on soil biology and nutrient cycling
  • Ryan Comeau, agrologist and seed sales representative from Covers and Co. on multi-species mixes
  • Grazing Mentor Julia Smith from the Small-Scale Meat Producers Association who will discuss rotational grazing, bale grazing and demonstrate some useful electric fencing tools & techniques

This event is free and open to anyone interested, but registration is required. Save your spot at:
